What is a good tree for a small garden?

These are Indigenous trees which are ideal for a small garden:

– Heteropyxis natalensis (Lavender Tree) medium to slow growing, but beautiful and worth the wait ±6m x5m
– Buddleja saligna, (False Olive) fast growing, ideal evergreen tree for Gauteng ±4m x 3m
– Dais Cotinifolia, (Pompon Tree), one of the most beautiful indigenous trees. Fast growing. ±6m
– Pteroxylon obliquum (Sneeze wood) medium growing. Grows straight and narrow. ±12m x6m

Exotic trees for small gardens include:

– Betula pendula (Silver Birch). Deciduous tree with beautiful silver grey bark ±8m x 5m
– Magnolia grandiflora Little Gem. Beautiful dark green foliage and magnificent white flowers ±6m
– Acer buergerianum (Chinese Maple) does not have a vigorous root system. ±9m x6m
